I've met Jot a couple of times through a mutual friend that we jammed with, so I've seen his capacity to toy with the genres while always retaining his individuality and flare. He's in it for love, not money or fame, but with his unique vocal style and the artistry of his words, both written and "free style", it's easy to see why so many people have "liked" his page on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/jotmaxi) . And when somebody has fans ranging from those into grime and dub step, to those into folk, punk and ska - you know their doing something right! With references to politics and spirituality grounded firmly on the street, Jot hits all bases seemingly effortlessly. Truly one of the great unsung poets of our age.
