Augmented Reality
To use the Augmented Reality app, you will need to have Silverlight installed. Most computers will already have it installed, but if yours does not then you can quickly and easily download it from here.
Getting started:
1. Click the big grey text in the box above
2. Allow the app to access your webcam
3. Hold the cover of your copy of Haus Magazine up to your webcam
4. That’s it, the augmented reality should be overlaid onto your webcam video
Try moving the magazine about, from left to right and backwards and forwards. The augmented image should follow you around, adding another layer to your reality!
Troubleshooting:
- Make sure no other software or website is using your webcam
- Move your hands to the edges of the magazine to make sure that nothing is covering any part of the Haus logo
- Make sure you have at least version 4 of Silverlight installed (you can see which version you have or upgrade your current version here)
If you can’t get hold of a copy of the magazine then you can print off the Haus logo – which is used to activate the Augmented Reality – from here.
